DESCRIPTION:
E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 70 Regulator" with 20" dial, wall clock, 8 days, time only, weight driven movement in a walnut case with painted wooden dial and reverse painted lower tablet for "BASS RIVER LODGE 141", c1890
CONDITION:
the case is in excellent original condition with original finish and bold graining in the walnut with some white wall paint along the bottom rear edge. There is a 3/4" x 1/8" piece of rear right side molding absent. The dial is in very good condition with very minor scratches. The weight baffle has been replaced and no longer has a pendulum tie down. The original Bass River Ridge Lodge tablet is in excellent condition and also included is a separate reproduction standard Howard style tablet, professionally done in the red, gold and black. Of Note: the Masonic Bass River Lodge is located at 242 Old Bass River Rd, South Dennis, Mass [on Cape Cod], These larger Howard models are increasingly difficult to find. Ht 50"
